Being interested in my family history for the better part of the past 25 years, this is how I got the start for putting together a history book. In 1993, I accepted the Cemetery Sexton job. In order to "compile" and make the cemetery records genealogy friendly, I began asking questions and keeping notes. When I thought I had enough "notes, I then began putting it together for a book. I never dreamed that my "little" project would turn out to be 5 years in the making, and end up being over 800 pages!
I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I am the only daughter of Jim and Deanna Kistner. Since my father had grown up in the Connorsville area, many people will remember him as being called "Jamie".
My parents moved us to Connorsville when I was 13 years old. It was a huge move for a teenager to leave friends and move 300 miles away to a small town that doesn't even have a "stop light". But I wouldn't leave Connorsville for anything now!
I graduated from Boyceville High School in 1976 and married shortly thereafter. I married Randy Beyrer. The Beyrer family has many lasting roots in this area also. Randy's grandfather (Emil Beyrer) once owned the general store. Randy and I lived in Milwaukee for the first year of our married life. After which we just had to come back "home". We built a house in 1979 and have been in it ever since.
We have two daughters. Caysie Deanna, born in 1977, and Bridgette Elaine, born in 1979. Caysie married Kenny Buhr, and has 3 sons, Austin and Max and Drew. Bridgette married Brent Bliese, and has 1 son, Mitchell and a daughter. Emma Deanna.
I have mostly worked for my parents at the tavern. But did venture out to find my nitch. Always returning home to the tavern. I held the Town Clerk position from 1999 to 2005/
I have Four generations of family buried at the New Haven Township cemetery. My roots go back quite far in this small community. Buried at the New Haven Cemetery are my father (Erwin J. Kistner), my grandparents (Jake & Pearl Kistner), my great grandparents (Louie and Laura Utphall) and my great great grandparents (Morten & Hannah Larson)
